2013 Razorbacks Volleyball Camp Dates Set

FAYETTEVILLE – Be part of the 2013 University of Arkansas volleyball summer camps as head coach Robert Pulliza and staff hosts their fifth camp season in Fayetteville. Divided among a variety of specialty sessions, the Razorback volleyball camps are designed to help players and teams improve and prepare for their respective upcoming seasons.

The camp season begins July 8-10 with the All-Skills Camp for players from 8th-12th grade. This three-day camp is for players looking to specialize and develop their individual skills. Campers will be challenged in all aspects of the game by focusing on all fundamentals of passing, serving, setting, blocking, attacking and playing defense. To ensure a competitive environment, players will be grouped with others of similar skill level and age range.

There will be three sessions dedicated to team development. The first of the three Team Camp dates is scheduled for July 11-13 and is open to JV and Varsity teams. The second session, held July 15-17, is for Varsity teams only. The final session, a one-day camp set for July 20, is available for Junior High teams.

These camps will give each team the opportunity to train and prepare together for the upcoming season while developing chemistry on the court. After the scrimmage and “team” practice schedule, the camps will end with a tournament. Each team must be accompanied by a coach and have a minimum of nine players.

The Razorbacks will host a one-day Position Camp, scheduled for July 14. This camp gives individuals the training at their specific position, whether they specialize at middle blocker, outside hitter, setter or libero and defensive specialist.

The Lil’ Backs Camp is set for July 22-24 and is a three-day camp for younger players from 4th-7th grade. This commuter camp is designed for campers to learn the basics of the game of volleyball. Sessions will run from 9-11:30 a.m. each day.
