At the end of the first season of football at Hendrix College, the Warriors saw seven members of the team given all-conference honors. Here are the details from Hendrix on those players.

CONWAY, Ark. – Seven members of the Hendrix College football team were named all-conference by the Southern Athletic Association on Tuesday. Freshman running back Dayton was selected as the Newcomer of the Year and to first team. Junior wide receiver Casey Caton was also named to the first team. Freshman quarterback Tanner Frye and freshman kicker Steve Crenshaw were second team selections and freshman wide receiver Travus McMahon and redshirt freshman safety Caleb Shannonwere honorable mentions. Freshman Spencer Smith was an honorable mention as a wide receiver and punter.

Winn, from Pea Ridge, Ark., ranked third in the nation and led the league with 1,971 all-purpose yards (197.1 per game). He was also third in the SAA with 821 yards rushing on 167 carries with 10 touchdowns. Winn ranked fourth in the league with 49 receptions for 421 yards and five touchdowns and was fourth with a 22.4 kick return average. Winn was also third in the conference and 32nd in the nation with 96 points scored.

Caton, of Rogers, Ark., led the SAA with 805 yards receiving and was second with eight touchdowns. He was also third with 56 catches.

Frye, from Pottsboro, Texas, led the SAA with a 65.8 completion percentage. He completed 144 passes of 219 attempts and threw for 10 touchdowns and 1,366 yards. Frye also rushed 72 times for 296 yards and three touchdowns.

Crenshaw, of Texarkana, Ark., led the league with 37 extra points and a PAT percentage of 95 (37-of-39). He was second among kickers with 61 ponts and second with eight field goals made. Crenshaw also kicked the game-winning field goal in the Warriors’ first game of the season against Westminster with one second on the clock.

McMahon, from Hernandon, Miss., led the SAA with 64 catches for 568 yards and six touchdowns. He ranked third with a 22.6 kick return average and was fifth with 985 all-purpose yards.

Shannon, of The Woodlands, Texas, was second in the conference with 86 total tackles and tied for fourth with three interceptions for 42 yards. He also recorded five pass breakups, two fumble recoveries for 33 yards and one blocked kick.

Smith, from Houston, Texas, was sixth in the league with 42 catches for 443 yards and two touchdowns. He ranked second in the SAA and 45th in the nation with a 38.3 punt average.
