Eagles Win Again, Now Six Games Over .500

Walnut Ridge, Ark. – The Williams Baptist College Eagles stretched their win total to 12 games with a 73-61 win over Hannibal-LaGrange University. The American Midwest Conference contest took place Thursday night in Walnut Ridge.

WBC’s size and length caused havoc all evening for the Trojans, as the Eagles out rebounded Hannibal 41-29. Williams also forced 18 turnovers on 13 steals.

Kyle Harvey continued to lead the team, scoring 19 points and collecting seven rebounds. He has scored double-figures in all but one game this season. He leads the AMC in scoring and rebounding.

Joining Harvey in double figures were Phillip Sykes with a season-high 17 points and Dustin House with 10. 

The win improves Williams’ record to 12-6 overall and 3-2 in the AMC. The Eagles are currently in sole possession of fourth place in the conference and a half game behind third place Park University. 

The Eagles will travel to St. Louis, Mo., to play against Missouri Baptist University on Saturday, January 19. Their next home game will be Saturday, January 26, when they host Harris-Stowe State University at 4:00 p.m.
