ASU will have athletes competing in the pole vault, multi events and throws only for the men’s and women’s competition.

“We are sending our throwers and vaulters for an early season meet at Eastern Illinois and are looking forward to getting started with that group,” said second-year ASU head coach Jim Patchell. ‘The rest of the team will open up next weekend at home (A-State Invitational). We have a good group this year and are excited about our possibilities as a team.”

The meet will be held at Lantz Indoor Fieldhouse on the EIU campus. Field events start at 9 a.m. (CT) with the running events to follow at 11 a.m.

Arkansas State along with Greenville College (Ill.), Memphis, and host Eastern Illinois are the men’s teams slated to compete while the women’s squads include ASU and Eastern Illinois.
