HOUSTON, Texas – History continues to be made for UALR freshman diver Megan Scott. After being named Sun Belt Conference Diver of the Week on four occasions this season, the first such honor for a Trojan, she also became the first freshman female diver in school history to make the postseason.

Scott participated in the 1-meter springboard event at the Zone D Diving Regionals, hosted by the University of Houston at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center Natatorium, on Tuesday (March 12). She finished 46th overall in the event with a total of 185.85.

“It was a great experience for Megan,” head swimming and diving coach Amy Burgess explained. “It was a fun way to gauge where she is and where she needs to go in her diving career. It is exciting that she is only a freshman.

Burgess added, “It will help our swimming and diving program get noticed.”

This concludes the 2012-13 UALR swimming and diving season. Throughout the season, nine different school records were broken a total of 12 times.
