Michael Dyer Running for Bobby Petrino?

Michael Dyer gave an interview to ESPN’s Joe Schad about his hopes, dreams and future as college football player, including the possibility of playing football for Western Kentucky and Bobby Petrino.

Among the details Michael Dyer discusses with Schad, are that he wants a chance to show that he has changed as a person and that his character is better than it used to be.

At certain points over the past few months, Dyer thought he would be enrolling at TCU or Louisville this season, but he says those options fell away. No other BCS automatic-qualifying conference programs have reached out.

Dyer would like to be enrolled at his new school in the next 10 days. His uncle, Andre, says Western Kentucky, Troy and Illinois State have had some contact. Western Kentucky, of course, is coached by former Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino.

The idea of Michael Dyer playing for Bobby Petrino this fall is interesting. Petrino unsuccessfully recruited Dyer when he was the coach for the Razorbacks.

Dyer said earlier this year he wanted a chance to play for the Razorbacks. And Chris Bahn wondered at the time if Dyer was much of a risk for any school in this column.
