Morrilton Devil Dogs Claim 5A State Title

The Morrilton Devil Dogs defeated the Batesville Pioneers for the 5A state football title Saturday afternoon 27-24 at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock.

It was an exciting contest that came down to a last-second missed field goal from 37 yards out that would have tied the game as time expired. The field goal attempt was wide left.
