Arkansas fans were able to get a first look at “The Fastest 40 Minutes in Basketball” last Sunday when the Razorbacks hosted their annual Red-White scrimmage.  The White team defeated the Red thanks to sophomores Jacorey WilliamsMichael Qualls and Anthlon Bell, who combined for 60 points. Senior co-captain Coty Clarke helped the White team dominate in the paint, posting a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds.  Alandise Harris led the Red team, dropping 26 points in his first appearance as a Razorback, with redshirt senior Fred Gulley IIIand junior Rashad Madden adding 24 points each.

The Razorbacks enter their first of two exhibition games on Friday night with 11 letterwinners from last year’s squad that went 19-13 overall and 17-1 in Bud Walton Arena. The list of returners is bolstered by an extremely strong incoming class featuring Harris, a transfer from Houston, and a top 20 recruiting class that includes freshmen big men Bobby Portis and Moses Kingsley.

Friday night will mark the second exhibition game for Missouri Southern, who dropped a hard-fought 93-80 decision at Missouri State on Tuesday. All five starters reached double figures, led by junior Cameron Cornelius’ 16 points. A member of Division II and the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA), the Lions went 13-15 last season.
