The Hoosier Hills Invitational, which is hosted by Indiana University, is being held at the Gladstein Fieldhouse on the IU campus.

“The Hoosier Hills Invitational is always a quality meet where we have had some good performances in the past,” said ASU head coach Jim Patchell. “It also gives our team a chance to run on a banked track which is good preparation for those who have a chance to qualify for nationals. This is also our last test before the conference championships so it will give us a good indications of where we stand.”

The Hoosier Hills Invitational starts this Friday (Feb. 8) at 4 p.m. (CT) with the women’s long jump and men’s weight throw events. The invitational sections of the distance medley relay commence at 4:40 p.m. (CT). All field events will be conducted during Friday’s opening day of competition. The action on Saturday (Feb. 9) features a shortened schedule consisting of invitational sections and short-sprint finals, which begins at 9:35 p.m. (CT) and concludes with the men’s 3,000-meter run around 11 a.m. (CT).

Among those schools participating in the Hoosier Hills Invite are Dayton, Ohio, Ball State, Xavier, Cincinnati, Louisville, Marshall along with host Indiana and Arkansas State among others. Several NCAA Division II schools will also take part in the meet.

Both the Arkansas State men’s and women’s team continue to be listed among the top 15 teams listed in the latest (Feb. 5) and this season’s third installment of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field South Central Regional Rankings.
