Sporting Life Arkansas Razorbacks & Bret Bielema Reggae Playlist

The minute the news hit that new Arkansas Razorbacks head football coach Bret Bielema liked reggae music we liked him.

Reggae happens to be one of the genre’s of music several of us at Sporting Life Arkansas appreciate, too. In fact, there are those on the sports desk who do most of their work with island sounds in the background.

Reports after Saturday’s scrimmage, which was the first opened to the general public, said Bielema shared is personal playlist for the start of the scrimmage, saying: “I know there were 18 great jams on there.  … Kids love music. It kind of gets it popping a little bit, and that’s the only reason you do it. … It seemed to put everyone in a good mood. I was in a good mood.”

We don’t know every song in Coach Bielema’s reggae playlist, but we thought we would share a few of favorites for him to consider adding, if they’re not in his ears already. We end our playlist with the tune we believe the Arkansas Razorbacks started on yesterday, the classic Bob Marley version of “I shot the sheriff.”

And if you have some tunes to recommend, let us know in the comments, and we will get them added.
