Bielema said he can’t wait for spring ball to get here. He’s not the only one. Right?
Bielema said he has never signed three kids from one school in the same class before today: three from Fayetteville High School today.
Bielema says he is not going to over sign. Doesn’t want to call up a kid on a Tuesday night and wreck his life. Not going down that road.
Bielema says this class sets the ground work for next year’s recruiting class.
Bielema says he doesn’t know where he will rank with this class and doesn’t really care. He looks for a group to come in do what he wants them to do and be successful from there.
Bielema said Denver Kirkland loved it in Fayetteville. He said the Razorback player panel won Kirkland’s mother over to Arkansas. The panel is all students who meet with parents. Bielema calls it a leap of faith. But important part of the process.
Bielema says National Signing Day is a day in which you have to adjust and adapt. Could be changes to the class in the days and weeks to come.
Bielema said he didn’t want to take players to take players. He has some scholarships left. He is waiting to see what happens with over-signs from other schools. Proud he hit every region of the country with this class.
Bielema thinks Spaight is a special , special kid and hopes he will become a pipeline to recruits from the Little Rock area in the future.
Bielema loves Dan Skipper: “Sky is the limit for him.”
Bielema says Korliss Marshall will likely start as safety but can play a variety of positions. He also is excited about Drew Morgan from Greenwood and Landers Award winner this year. “Very much into the game,” Bielema said of Morgan. “Plays with a lot of attitude and energy.”
Bielema is also hopeful that Reeve Koehler represents the opening of a Hawaii pipeline for the Razorbacks.
Bielema says Denver Kirkland could play any position on the offensive line. He’s that good.
Bielema said Australian punter Sam Irwin-Hill is his first international player.
