Wonder Boys Golf Finishes Tied for Fifth in Dave Falconer Memorial Tournament

DANVILLE, Ark.— Graham Rucker led the Arkansas Tech men’s A team with a 77(+5) on day two and a 151 (+7) to tie for 12th, while Colton Dillard led the B team with a 78 (+6) on day two and a 154 (+10) to tie for 17th as the Wonder Boys A team tied for fifth and the B team tied for seventh at the Dave Falconer Memorial Golf Tournament hosted by Arkansas Tech in Danville, Ark. on Tuesday.

The Wonder Boys A team finished a 311 (+23) for the second round while finishing with a 616 (+40) for the tournament, 22 strokes behind the winning team of Midwestern State. Tech’s B team finished just eight strokes behind Tech’s A team with a 624 for the tournament.

For Tech’s A team, Jason Purdy tied for 20th while shooting an 82 (+10) and a 155 (+11) for the tournament, Conner Smith carded an 81 (+9) on day two and finished with a 157 (+13) to tie for 31st, Rowdy Garrett shot a second-day 77 (+5) to finish at 159 (+15) and tie for 37th, and Brian Belz shot a final round 76 (+4) but was disqualified in a previous round.

The B team was backed by Parker Hale who shot a second-day 76 (+4) and a final of 155 (+11), Jordan Holloway shot a final round 79 (+7) to finish at 155 and a tie for 20th, Dillon Young carded a 78 (+6) on the second day and a 160 (+16) to tie for 41st, and Jordan Hawkes shot a final round 79 (+7) to finish at 161 (+17) and in a tie for 45th.

The Wonder Boys will return to action March 17th, at the Midwestern State University Invitational in Wichita Falls, Texas.
