A-State Red Wolves Football Announce Parking Procedures howl on a motorcycle

JONESBORO — The Arkansas State Athletics Department has announced its parking procedure plan for the A-State Red Wolves football six home football games for the 2013 season. Also announced was the “Live at the Brickhouse” coach’s radio show with Bryan Harsin schedule for the season.

The following procedures will be used to expedite parking during the upcoming year:

Fans with Red, Black, Blue or White parking permits are asked to enter those lots by turning west off of Stadium Boulevard onto Alumni Boulevard.  A parking pass must be displayed in order to turn from Stadium Boulevard west on Alumni Boulevard.

Those with Platinum, Orange and Gold parking passes are asked to enter those lots by turning east on A Street off of University Loop.  Fans holding Purple, Yellow, Green, and Blue parking passes are asked to enter the lots by turning south on A Street off Johnson Avenue.

Fans that do not have a parking pass have a number of options this season. Those approaching Liberty Bank Stadium from the north and wishing to park in the paid parking lot areas are asked to remain on Johnson Avenue, turn onto A Street and park in the designated paid lot for $20.

Those attending the game who are approaching from the south may turn west on Aggie Drive from Stadium Boulevard and then turn on Olympic Drive and park in the designate paid lot for $10.

Traffic flow on Olympic Drive will be northbound only before the game and will only be allowed to travel southbound on the street after the game.

Fans approaching the stadium from the north who are wishing to park in the general parking area are asked to stay on Johnson Avenue until turning south on University Loop East. They will then go east on Aggie before turning north on Olympic Drive.

Fans coming to the stadium from the south on Stadium Boulevard and requiring general parking are asked to turn west on Aggie Drive and then turn north on Olympic Drive.

Additionally, the A-State Athletics Department and the Jonesboro Economic Transit System (J.E.T.S.) have joined together this season to give Red Wolves fans an inexpensive and convenient way to attend A-State home football games at Liberty Bank Stadium.

The JETS buses will be transporting those Red Wolves’ fans that elect to park their vehicles in the City of Jonesboro parking lot.  The City of Jonesboro parking area is located at the intersection of Cate Avenue and Church Street, across from the old Mercantile Bank/Union Planters Bank building.

Cost to ride the JETS bus each way is $1.25 for adults, 90 cents for A-State Students with a valid student ID and 60 cents for senior citizens age 65 or older.

The JETS buses are scheduled to pick up fans approximately three hours before the start of each game and run in 30-minute intervals to and from the stadium. The JETS buses will then arrive at Liberty Bank Stadium and proceed by letting off fans at the northwest corner of Liberty Bank Stadium near gate 11.

Following each game, the JETS buses will commence loading fans for arrival to the City of Jonesboro parking lot in about a 10-minute time frame.  The JETS buses are scheduled to depart approximately 20 minutes after the A-State football contest has concluded and fans should proceed to the departure area in the Liberty Bank Stadium parking lot near gate 11.
