There were other sports are signing today, including track and cross country, and one Arkansas record holder, Brendan Taylor, signed his National Letter of Intent today with the University of Oklahoma.
Brendan’s dad, Gary Taylor, who owns Go!Running in Little Rock says his son was offered scholarships by several schools, “but his serious options were Ole Miss, Arkansas, Tulsa and Oklahoma.”
Brendan Taylor is a three-time state champion in the mile, the two mile and in cross country, in which he holds the state record.
His best times are 4:11.5 for 1600, 9:12.7 for the two mile, and 15:14 for 5K cross country. He will compete in the State indoor track championships this weekend and in the outdoor State championships in May.
Congratulations, Brendan, from all of us at Sporting Life Arkansas and good luck at the next level.
