UPDATED 5/20/13 6:30 p.m.

NC State it is. Brandon Mitchell joins Bret Bielema’s former offensive coordinator, Matt Canada, and his former defensive coordinator and current head coach at NC State Dave Doeren along with the Razorbacks’ former strength and conditioning coach Jason Veltkamp at NC State. Bielema discussed his position on Mitchell in this post from Jim Harris Sunday night.

ESPN’s Joe Schad is tweeting a list of schools he has heard former Arkansas Razorbacks quarterback Brandon Mitchell may have interest in transferring to.

We should note Bret Bielema’s former defensive coordinator at Wisconsin, Dave Doeren, is now head coach at NC State. Also worth noting, the Razorbacks’ former strength and conditioning coach Jason Veltkamp is now in the same in the position at NC State.

From al.com, reports regarding Mitchell’s interest in UAB, where Garrick McGee, his former position coach is now the head coach, are beginning to surface.

Alden Foster coached Mitchell at Amite High School in Amite City, La., before he signed with Arkansas in 2009.

“They’re on the radar because he has a relationship with (McGee),” Foster said. “He’s very much interested, but he hasn’t made a decision yet.”

“We’re trying to see what the best fit for him is,” Foster said.

And this just in – add Michigan to the list of potential schools under consideration for Mitchell.
