It’s game day, people. Let’s have a blast!

9:21 p.m. 45-33 A&M, final. Arkansas gave up 523 total yards to Texas A&M, but that’s about two miles less than the Hogs allowed last year in a 58-10 loss at College Station. Brandon Allen, considering he was coming back from a shoulder injury that kept him out at Rutgers, had a pretty good night overall, leading Arkansas to 483 total yards and passing for 282. The difference mostly was the two turnovers, interceptions by Allen, though one was late. The other was returned 35 yards for a touchdown by Deshazor Everett and it was a score that Arkansas could never overcome, though Allen and the Hogs were game throughout the second half. Johnny Manziel completed 23 of 30 passes for 261 yards and two touchdowns. The Aggies rushed for 262 yards on 44 tries, or 6 yards an attempt. Alex Collins returned to the 100-yard department after a week off, gaining 116 yards on 14 carries for the Hogs. Overall, Arkansas fans should fine a lot they can be happy about even in a loss, and they can know that the future is bright. Maybe they didn’t feel quite like that last week after the Hogs’ blew a 17-point lead and lost at Rutgers. Arkansas returns to the road next Saturday, playing at Florida, where the Hogs have never won. Arkansas has only beaten Florida once all-time, and that was in 1982 in the old Astro-Bluebonnet Bowl. Please watch the “Hog Zone Super Saturday” at 10:30 p.m. as the crew, including yours truly, breaks down the game.
9:16 p.m. 45-33 A&M — Well, that was quick. Allen, throwing down the middle for Javontee Herndon, underthrows it and is picked at the UA 45. Arkansas is out of timeouts. That is it. But A&M is still throwing here, so the Aggies may want to hang half a hundred.
9:15 p.m. — Arkansas forces another A&M punt, but Brandon Allen hgas just 2:55 to engineer an 88-yard drive and get another score too.
9:10 p.m. — Sure has been a while between catches for A&M’s Mike Evans. But that one for 23 yards to the A&M 46 gives the Aggies the needed first down to run this clock.
9:08 p.m. — Allen scrambles and tries to rifle one to Eric Hawkins, but Tramain Jacobs makes a nice lean and deflection to knock it away and pretty much end the Hogs’ hopes. Hard to imagine the defense stopping A&M twice before the Aggies run out this clock, 6:20 to go, and Arkansas would have to score twice.
