Red Wolves Women’s Basketball to Host “Play 4Kay” Run/Walk

JONESBORO, Ark. (2/4/13) – The Arkansas State women’s basketball team is partnering once again with the Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Association and St. Bernards Medicals in their annual “Play 4Kay” initiative when the Red Wolves host the Trojans of Troy Saturday, Feb. 23 at the Convocation Center. The team will also sponsor the third annual “4Kay Run/Walk” the morning of the game.

The “Play 4Kay” initiative is a global, unified effort for coaches and players to assist in raising cancer awareness on the court, across campuses and in the community. The Red Wolves will be playing in pink uniforms in honor of the even. 

Registration for the race will begin at 11 a.m. with the race set to begin at noon. The entrance fee is $20 and includes a t-shirt and a ticket to the women’s basketball game later in the afternoon. Prizes will also be awarded for division winners. To register for the race, fans can log onto to www.racesonline.com and enter the zip code 72467 and the date of the event (Feb. 23). Sterns Race Timing will handle the timing and all proceeds will benefit the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
