Editor’s Note: We start the Arkansas high school football season how we will continue it until it ends, with Rex Nelson sharing his Arkansas High School Football Rankings, featured on his Southern Fried Blog.

The Arkansas high school football season begins tonight with two games at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock (Arkadelphia vs. Stuttgart at 5 p.m. and Sylvan Hills vs. Vilonia at 7:30 p.m.) and two games at Golden Lion Stadium in Pine Bluff (Bearden vs. Lafayette County at 5:30 p.m. followed by Smackover vs. Warren).

Each Friday on the scoreboard show that I host from 10 p.m. until midnight on almost 40 stations across Arkansas (KARN-FM, 102.9, for those of you in central Arkansas), I will unveil Rex’s Rankings once all the scores are in.
