The Good, The Bad and The Wally

Queue the tune above, lean forward and enjoy another week of “The Good, The Bad and The Wally.” Yes, we’re referring to Wally Hall, the sports editor, of the statewide daily newspaper.

The Good

Without question, the display of humanity, courage and love in the aftermath of the bombing in Boston at the marathon’s finish line.

The Bad

The opening lines of the movie trailer for “The Identity Theft of Mitch Mustain.”

Horrible. You can check it here.

The Wally

We read Wally Hall so you don’t have to, and this week we wondered if we needed to write the “Like it Is” column for Wally Hall so he wouldn’t have to.

From Wally on Wednesday, April 17, we get this concluding paragraph:

Get two Arkie breds together and it is usually like family, and Oaklawn had more than 66,000 at its latest

At its latest what? The suspense is killing us! No period. No ending. We thought maybe Wally picks this back up tomorrow where he left off, mid-sentence. As unconventional as that would be, he would get points for creativity.

Hell, maybe he just got bored (we understand) and stopped writing or distracted or… Maybe he is starting a new feature in his column – “Mad Libs” instead of “Like it Is.”

If anybody knows how Wally’s column from Wednesday ends, please tell us.
