Pine Bluff, AR- Bling, Bling, Bling, Bling, were the sounds of bells ringing as members of the Golden Lions athletics department was out doing the most good in a community outreach venture with the Salvation Army as bell ringers during the holiday season.
WAL- MART and JC Penny’s were the locations of the bell ringing endeavor that span two days over the holiday break. Also, members of the Lady Lions basketball team contributed in these efforts to raise money for those less fortunate, as well as.
With all that we are blessed with, the real gifts are those given when the fortunate give back to less fortunate. As athletics director Lonza Hardy, Jr. pushes to strengthen ties within the community, volunteering time for the Salvation Army to do the most good is definitely a step in the right direction.
