Meet Denver Kirkland, an offensive lineman from Miami, Fla. He’s 6’5, 333 pounds, does the shuttle in 5.63 seconds and is a senior at Booker T. Washington High School
Reports from South Florida are that Kirkland is narrowing his college choices down, as we get closer to national signing day on Feb. 6. The report below is he’s got Arkansas in the mix, with Ole Miss and Florida State.
We think you will enjoy his highlight reel below, too.
UPDATE: 2/02/13 (Latest UPDATE below the video)
Omar Kelly, an NFL beat writer for the South Florida Sun- Sentinel had a few things to say about Kirkland via Twitter yesterday. We thought we would share a couple of comments regarding the high school student, who, the word is, has decided he isn’t as interested in the Miami Hurricane as he may have been.
During my five seasons of covering the Hurricanes I've seen Miami get burned dozens of times by players like Denver Kirkland. Move on.

IF Denver Kirkland knew he wanted to be a Hurricane then he had a window of opportunity to lock down his spot on the train. Best of luck kid

And the latest from Brandon Odoi:
#UM's meeting with Denver Kirkland is over and he has said that will not commit, still going to choose between #FSU and #Arkansas. WPS leads

I say #Arkansas leads because Kirkland's step father told me that #UM and #Arkansas were the places he felt the most " at home."
