Trey Schaap

Trey Schaap was born in Little Rock, Arkansas. He grew up playing basketball, baseball, and golf. He has been watching sports as long as he can remember.

He graduated from Parkview High School in 1994, where he lettered on the Patriot golf team his sophomore, junior, and senior years.

Not knowing what he wanted to do with his life he enrolled at Mississippi State University to study Professional Golf Management. He moved back to Little Rock and started working for KARK TV, after working for WCBI TV in Columbus, Mississippi.

After 8 years he left television and moved to The Buzz. He is co-host of “Overtime” alongside Matt Jones weekdays from 1 to 4pm as well as the Hog Wild show on Wednesday night during football season, color analyst of the High School Football Game of the Week, play-by-play announcer of the High School Basketball Game of the Week, co-host of 5th Quarter Football and Basketball, and writes the Schaap Report for www.1037thebuzz.com.

When he is not working, you can find him playing in Arkansas State Golf Association golf tournaments throughout the summer. In 2010 he finished runner-up in the State Amateur Player of the Year standings. He is married, and he and his wife have one daughter.
