Matt Dishongh is a former managing editor of the Maumelle Monitor and reporter at the North Little Rock Times. He is the creator of the now defunct Travelerocity blog and was the sports guy at Little Rock Monthly. Thanks to skipping journalism classes to stand in line outside Barnhill Arena while at the UA, he was dubbed “the crown prince of Arkansas” by an ESPN commentator for his habit of wearing a crown in the student section during the May-Day era.

Dishongh is an advocate of realigning college football to break up the business conglomerates masquerading as athletic conferences and putting the fun back in youth sports by shutting up the adults. He still holds the list of banned callers from his days as producer of the legendary “Pat Lynch Show.” Most importantly, he was MVP of his seventh-grade basketball team. Autographed pictures are still available.
