The “Arkansas-based vocal group” Triple Threat, whose members include Caleb Conrad, Will Richey and Tyler Davis have introduced their latest musical offering – Never Yield. The tune is billed as a new anthem for the trio’s beloved Arkansas Razorbacks.
Never Yield is a reference to the University of Arkansas’ campaign of the same name, explained this way by Jeff Long, the university’s athletic director:
“Never Yield is an opportunity to show the rest of the country our desire to compete and win in all aspects of intercollegiate athletics,” said Jeff Long, vice chancellor and director of athletics. “Our fight song proclaims that ‘Arkansas will never yield,’ and that embodies our approach to achieving success on the athletic fields, in the classroom and in our community. Never Yield also represents our program’s unwavering commitment to providing our student-athletes with the facilities and resources they need to reach their fullest potential through intercollegiate athletics. Appropriately, the first initiative of Never Yield is targeted at securing that support.”
We’re not sure Triple Threat is one to Liz Honey, but this video is fun, funny and has cameo appearances by Arkansas’ American Idol Kris Allen, former Arkansas Razorback quarterback, Matt Jones and sports broadcaster Aaron Peters.
Enjoy. #NeverYield and #WPS.
