2014 Arkansas Girls Basketball State Champions

 

The 2014 Arkansas Girls Basketball State Champions are named and the trophies have all been handed out for this season.

Below are box scores for every championship game played last week and this weekend.

Congratulations to all of these teams for great seasons, wonderful competition and to the student athletes who represent the spirit of what it means to be Sporting Life Arkansans!

The games are listed by classification from Class 7A to Class 1A.

Starting with Conway vs. Fort Smith Northside, a thriller with four lead changes throughout the game. Jordan Danberry of the Conway Wampus Cats was named the 7A Most Valuable Player.

Next up Greenwood vs. Little Rock Parkview. Megan Hartness of Greenwood was named the 6A Most Valuable Player and lead all scorers with 27 points in the game.

The 5A Girls State Championship Game featured Huntsville vs. Paragould. Sydney Layrock of  Paragould was named the 5A Most Valuable Player scoring 26 of her team’s 56 points in the game.

The 4A 2014 Arkansas State Girls Basketball Champions – Malvern. The team defeated Central Arkansas Christian for the title. Malvern’s Alivia Huell was named the 4A Most Valuable Player.

The Girls 3A State Championship Game featured E-Stem vs. Harding Academy, E-Stem taking the title. Olivia McWilliams of E-Stem was named the 3A Most Valuable Player.

The 2A Girls title goes to Spring Hill. Rachel Medina of Spring Hill was named the 2A Most Valuable Player for the game.

And last, but not least, the 1A Girls state title goes to Nemo Vista for its win over Wonderview. Chase Paladino of Nemo Vista is your 1A Most Valuable Player for the game.
