Top 10 Toughest Non-Conference Schedules 2013 – Razorbacks (Sorta) Make the List

CBSSports.com has just released its list of the Top 10 Toughest Non-Conference Schedules for the upcoming football season and the Arkansas Razorbacks kind of make the list.

2. (tie) Southern Miss | Index — 3.5: Polian isn’t the only new coach to debut against a brutal non-conference slate. Todd Monken takes over an 0-12 team that has three nasty road trips after opening against Texas State. The Golden Eagles have back-to-back visits to Nebraska and Arkansas. Then, after a week off, they go up to Boise State.

The fact is, with a poor showing and dismal previews in most pre-season publications, the Razorbacks being listed as a reason to make a schedule tougher for any team should be encouraging to Hog fans. Doc Harper discusses the “Preview Season Woes” at this link.

And if you’ve not seen the full schedule download we have here, we hope you will by clicking this link. We would also appreciate your prediction on the Razorbacks football season in the poll below.

What do you predict the final regular season record will be for the Razorbacks? Please give us your thoughts in the comments section below.

I think 4-5 wins would be great and you could consider it a success if we go to a bowl game.

Every year a team in the SEC surprises people and does better than predicted. Maybe we will be that team. We actually have some talent returning. Even though Allen is green as the quarterback, in Bielema’s system, the quarterback needs to be a manager. I think he will be ok. We should win the first 4. (Yes, we will beat a rebuilding Rutgers team.) That should give the Hogs some confidence. I think we have a chance to steal one from either Florida or South Carolina. Neither of those two will have much of an offense. I also think we have a good chance of taking 2 of 3 from Auburn, Mississippi, and Mississippi State. So that would put us at 7-4.
