With the 2013 NFL Draft in the books, it’s fun to take a look at congratulations and well wishes to players from fans and coaches on social media like Twitter.
Scanning through for “atta’boy’s” from coaches and former coaches of Arkansas football players, we were struck by the lack of Arkansas State Red Wolves love shown by former head coach Gus Malzahn (in his defense, Malzahn doesn’t appear to be a serial tweeter, but he certainly tweets from time to time, including a note of congratulations to an Auburn player who was drafted in the 3rd round this year).

Another former Red Wolves head football coach, Hugh Freeze, even took time from his day to give a public social media hat tip to the school that helped get his next-level college head coaching career started.

Bobby Petrino had not a word to say via Twitter to any of his former Razorback players who were drafted this weekend, either. But let’s be honest, his abrupt departure from the University of Arkansas probably has something to do with that. Oh, and there is the likelihood he isn’t running his own Twitter account anyway.
