JONESBORO, Ark. (4/2/13) – The Arkansas State University football program will feature its own version of “Friday Night Lights – Red Wolf Edition” this Friday (April 5) evening in conjunction with the Red Wolves’ second scrimmage of the 2013 spring season at ASU’s Liberty Bank Stadium in Jonesboro, Ark.

The 7 p.m. (CT) scrimmage, which is open to the public free of charge, is also an invitation for all area high school coaches, players and spirit squads to attend and display school pride by wearing their respective school colors. A competition for the most school spirit will be held as those in attendance have an opportunity to cheer for either the ASU offense or defensive unit.

“We’re excited about having our own Friday Night Lights and it’s going to be fun seeing all of the high school teams representing their school,” said ASU football head coach Bryan Harsin. “We certainly want to have all Red Wolves’ fans come out to this Friday’s scrimmage and fill up the (Liberty Bank Stadium) stands. I know it means a lot to our players for the fans to watch them play and show their appreciation for all of the hard work they’ve been putting in this spring.”

Those who plan on attending this “Friday Night Lights-Red Wolf Edition” event are encouraged to bring along as many friends and family members as possible to the scrimmage.

Arkansas State, the two-time (2011 and 2012) defending Sun Belt Conference Champions and 2013 GoDaddy.com Bowl Champion, will hold their annual Spring Game on Saturday, April 13, at ASU’s Liberty Bank Stadium. A 1 p.m. (CT) start time is scheduled for the intra-squad contest, which is also open to the public.
