CARTI Tour de Rock: 2014 Registration Open

Rider registration is currently underway for the 11th annual CARTI Tour de Rock, a cycling-based fundraiser benefiting CARTI cancer patients, scheduled for June 7 at the Burns Park Soccer Complex in North Little Rock.

Coulson Oil Company/Road Runner is the presenting sponsor of the 2014 CARTI Tour de Rock, a 100-mile “century ride” departing from Burns Park in North Little Rock and routed through Little Rock, Scott and England that annually attracts more than 1,000 cycling enthusiasts from all across the United States.

Recommended for cyclists who regularly participate in rides of this length, advanced ride participants are encouraged to average 14-18 miles per hour, the U. S. Bank Advanced Ride offers route options of 30 miles, 50 miles, 68 miles or 100 miles.

Cyclists participating in the 100-mile ride will depart at 7 a.m., while riders opting for the 68-mile route will head out at 7:15 a.m.  Participants in the 50 and 30 mile ride options will take off at 7:30 a.m.  A total of eight fully-equipped rest stops will be plotted along ride routes.

Participants and supporters can enjoy a family-friendly atmosphere complete with food, games and entertainment from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.  Riders will receive an event T-shirt and be treated to a barbecue meal as part of their registration package.  Non-riding participants may register as “Spirit Riders” and will receive the same registration package as cyclists.

Advance registration is available at $45 per rider on or before May 23.  Beginning May 24, regular registration will be $50 per rider, and registrations will be accepted up until the start time on the day of the event. “Spirit Rider” registration is $15 per person.  Sign-in and registration the day of the event will begin at 6 a.m.
