MONTICELLO — The University of Arkansas at Monticello women’s basketball team will be participating in the WBCA’s “Play 4Kay” initiative when the team hosts East Central University on Saturday, February 9.

The Play 4Kay initiative, formerly known as the WBCA Pink Zone, is an event partnered with women’s basketball teams across the country to raise breast cancer awareness. As a part of the initiative, the Cotton Blossoms are raising money by selling T-shirts that fans are encouraged to wear on game day.

The shirts are on sale now through noon on February 1 and will be available for pickup on Friday, February 8 from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at Steelman Fieldhouse. Shirts not picked up on February 8 will be available for sale on game day.

The Cotton Blossoms will also be holding a silent auction on February 9 for a team autographed basketball. Proceeds will benefit the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
