Fourth Annual Kids Triathlon Set for UALR

The Fourth Annual Miracle Chasers Kids Triathlon, benefiting Arkansas Children’ s Hospital, will take place at 8 a.m. Saturday, July 26, on the University of Arkansas at Little Rock campus.

The event includes a run, bike ride, and short swim at UALR. Entry fees are $20 for ages 6 through 15 years old.

All participants must be a current USA Triathlon member. Participants who are not current members will be assessed a $5 fee collected at packet pickup.

The morning will include a post party with food, fun, and other festivities. There are two course distances, one for ages 6 to 10 and another for ages 11 to 15. Awards will be given to the first boy and girl finisher in each age division.

The staging area will be located at Lot 2 on the UALR campus.

The event is the result of planning by the Committee for the Future, a group of young professionals in Central Arkansas who seek to raise money and awareness for Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

Over the past two decades, the committee has raised more than $5 million to purchase equipment, fund life-saving research, endow a chair in genetics, and make the hospital a friendly place for its patients.
