TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Unable to heat up after a cold first half, the Razorbacks dropped their final SEC regular season game in Tuscaloosa on Alabama’s senior night, 83-58. As a result of the finish, the Hogs will return to action on Thursday in Atlanta, where the Razorbacks will be the No. 5 seed at the SEC tournament and earning a first-round bye.
Junior Rashad Madden found his shot after a recent absence from the leaderboard, scoring 19 points including a 6-point run during the second half. Freshman Bobby Portis added nine in the second half to finish with 17. Madden and Portis combined to grab seven boards and three assists.
Shooting at a 44 percent clip during the second half wasn’t enough to recover from a disappointing first half performance, in an ugly game marred with 15 Razorback turnovers and only nine assists. The normally prominent Arkansas bench was flat, only providing 11 points compared to the Tide’s 29.
