Verizon Presents ‘Arkansas Legends’ Football Camp July 10

Several Former Razorbacks to lead skills and drills at the Verizon event

LITTLE ROCK – Four Arkansas natives who moved on to play in the NFL  and one former Hog quarterback from Texas will put their coaching skills to work for a good cause when the Arkansas Legends ProCamp comes to Little Rock on Friday, July 10. Presented by Verizon, this camp will host 100 kids ages 7 to 14 from area Boys & Girls Clubs and Life CHAMPS.

Fans are invited to watch the camp in action. Free spectator tickets are available at the Pleasant Ridge Verizon store, 11400 Cantrell Rd, Suite B, Little Rock, AR 72212, across Cantrell from the Pleasant Ridge Town Center.

Former NFL tight end D.J. Williams Jr. of Little Rock, Dallas Cowboys running back Darren McFadden of North Little Rock, running back Peyton Hillis of Conway, former NFL quarterback Clint Stoerner and recently-drafted linebacker Martrell Spaight from North Little Rock will teach the fundamentals of football to campers.

“This camp provides an opportunity for boys and girls to meet and work out with amazing athletes who are also exceptional mentors,” said Kristi Crum, president of Verizon in Arkansas. “It also communicates that hard work and perseverance will result in success. That’s a message every young person needs to understand.”

Rules, regulations and camp details can be found at ArkansasLegendsProCamp.com.

Verizon is providing this camp free of charge to give area children involved with these programs an opportunity to learn from some of the state’s best-known NFL players.

To support the programs offered by Life CHAMPS and several Boys & Girls Clubs in central Arkansas, Verizon will present donations of $5,000 to Life CHAMPS and a total of $6,000 to three Boys & Girls Clubs in Central Arkansas.
