OBU Tigers Pitcher Davis Ward Gets Postseason Honors

ARKADELPHIA, Ark.- Following the conclusion of the 2013 OBU Tigers baseball season, Ouachita’s Davis Ward has been honored with a selection on the American Baseball Coaches Association Central Region First Team and for his stellar play on the mound during the 2013 campaign he has been named the Great American Conference Pitcher of the Year, as well as an unanimous All-GAC First Team Selection..

Ward finished the year with a record of 9-3 during 13 starts, posting an ERA of 1.74 and a total of 10 complete game performances for the OBU Tigers. He not only led the league in ERA though, but also in innings pitched and complete games.

Ward was one of five players from the GAC who was named to the first team.
