We’re monitoring the situation, but seasoned sports journalist Jeff Reed has posted to his Facebook and Twitter accounts that the Arkansas State University Red Wolves will play the Tennessee Volunteers in football for the 2014 season.

This morning on 103.7 The Buzz in Little Rock, Red Wolves athletic director Terry Mohajir told Justin Acri, host of The Zone, they were nearing an announcement of a contract to play a game with what Mohajir described as a historically “top ten football program” starting with the 2014 season, stoping short of revealing the opponent on the air.

Check back for updates as they become available, we will post them.
