LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Trojans found out their destiny for the first round of the expanded Postseason WNIT: a trip to the Golden State.
UALR (24-8) will make the cross country trek to Stockton, Calif. to take on Pacific (25-7) on Friday (March 22). Game time will be announced on Tuesday.
The Tigers won the regular season title in the Big West before succumbing to Cal Poly, 62-49, in the finals of the Conference Tournament. A quartet of players average double-digit points for the Tigers, who average 69.0 points per game as a team. Kendall Rodriguez leads the Tigers with 12.4 points per game while Kendall Kenyon adds 10.6 points and 9.6 rebounds per game.
It will be the first meeting all time between the two teams. UALR has not played any current member of the Big West Conference but is 3-0 against teams from California. The Trojans have beaten Cal State Bakersfield, Loyola Marymount and Saint Mary’s.
