Former Razorback Assistant Joins OBU Tigers

Arkadelphia – Ouachita Baptist women’s head basketball coach Garry Crowder announced the hiring of Michael Jennings, a former Razorback assistant, as the new assistant coach for the Lady Tigers.

Jennings was a graduate assistant with the University of Arkansas Razorbacks from 2011 to 2013. Overall, he was with the program for five years.  He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2011 with a BS in Education in Kinesiology. He received his Masters in Recreation and Sports Management in 2013.

“We are very excited to have Mike as a part of our coaching staff” said Crowder. “We feel his experience working with the Arkansas Lady Razorback program will add a lot to what we are doing at Ouachita.”

Jennings was equally excited to express his enthusiasm about joining the Lady Tiger staff and Ouachita Baptist family.

“I am excited about joining a program with a rich tradition of being successful,” Jennings said, “and will do everything in my power to help this program to continue on that track. I am excited to be working with a great group of student athletes who will excel both on and off the court.”

Jennings is a native of Destrehan, Louisiana. The former Fighting Wildcat is the son of Scott and Toni Jennings.
