PINE BLUFF, Ark. — The NCAA National Letters of Intent poured in all day on Wednesday as University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff head coach Monte Coleman and his Golden Lions coaching staff received commitments from local and nationwide high school and junior college football players.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff, which captured the 2012 Southwestern Athletic Conference championship after going 10-2 overall and 8-1 in the conference, signed 15 players on the initial day of the signing period, including five in-state players and 10 out-of-state players.

“I think today was a good day. We received the majority of the offers that we extended,” said head coach Monte Coleman. “We’ve got the size that we needed, and a good group of skill position players. Overall, it’s been a very good day, and I’m excited to see these young men come in and put on the black and gold.”
