Tigers Receive All-GAC Selection Following Conclusion of 2012-13 Regular Season

BARTLESVILLE, Okla.- Following a regular season ending win over Arkansas-Monticello, and heading into their first game of the GAC Tournament against Southeastern Oklahoma, the Ouachita Tigers have received news that they were awarded an All-GAC Selection this year. 

For the second year in a row, Austin Mitchell stands as the only Tiger to receive such an award, as he was named to the All-GAC Second Team. He was also named to the All-GAC Second Team for his play in 2011-12. 

Mitchell finished the year averaging 13.4 points per game, while shooting 44.7 percent from the floor and 43.4 percent from behind the arc. He recorded a team-high free throw percentage of 76 percent while also notching 32 assists, 17 blocks and 20 steals.

Mitchell, along with three other seniors, will look to lead the team to victory on Friday, as they face off with Southeastern Oklahoma State in Bartlesville, Oklahoma at 8:30 p.m.
