Will Paul Named GAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Coming off a career-high scoring performance of 24 points against Northwestern Oklahoma State and following that with a 19-point effort against Southwestern Oklahoma State, Arkansas Tech center senior Will Paul was named Great American Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, announced by the league office today.

Paul averaged 21.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in this week’s two home wins. He also shot 15-for-26 (.577) from the field, went 8-of-13 (.615) from behind the three-point line, and made 6-of-7 free throws (.857).

He becomes the second Arkansas Tech men’s basketball player to earn a GAC Player of the Week honor, following Bobby Hatchett on December 17th. This is also Paul’s second career GAC Player of the Week award.

The Wonder Boys will head to Arkadelphia, Arkansas on Thursday to play Ouachita Baptist. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
