Hausberger of Reddies Golf Finishes Fifth at the Crawford Wade Invitational

Henderson State’s Joseph Hausberger turned in a 36-hole total of 147, 3-over par, to finish in fifth-place at the Crawford Wade Invitational at the Tanglewood Resort in Pottsboro, Texas.

Hausberger earned a spot on the all-tournament team after being one of three players to post a single-round score in 60’s. The junior from Hessen, Germany fired a round of 69, 3-under par on Monday, and fought through the heavy winds on Tuesday and carded a 78.

Hausberger ended the tournament with seven birdies and was just 1-over for the two-day event in par 4 scoring.

As a team, the Reddies placed ninth out of 15 teams with a two-day total of 622. St. Mary’s won the tournament with a score of 589, followed by Arkansas-Fort Smith (600), Texas A&M Commerce (601), and Harding (602).

Matt Jennings and Jared Black tied for 28th-place having a 36-hole total of 155 on the par-72, 6536 yard track. 

Jennings shot a 79 on Monday and finished with a 76 on Tuesday. The junior from Prairie City, Iowa led the Reddies with 22 pars. 

Black opened the event with a 75 and concluded with an 80. The senior from Camden, Ark. was even par for the tournament in par 3 scoring. 

Antoine Lairy tied for 43rd-place with rounds of 75 and 83, with Wess Webb finishing in 50th-place (80-79), and Gil Debusscher placing 60th out of 93 participants with scores of 84 and 78.

The Reddies will next participate in the Dave Falconer Memorial Classic in Danville, Ark. on March 11-12.
