A pair of Henderson State errors led to five unearned as No. 7 Central Missouri beat the Reddies 7-2, Sunday at Clyde Berry Field in Arkadelphia, Ark.

Henderson State, 20-15 on the season, entered the series ranked 23rd nationally in fielding with a .971 percentage. The Reddies, however, committed six errors in the three-game series which led to a total of 10 unearned runs.

The Reddies opened the scoring with a run in the first-inning as Taylor Coleman singled and stole second and third base. Michael Corso put Henderson on top 1-0 when he plated Coleman on a ground out to short.

Central Missouri scored two unearned runs in the fourth-inning behind a two-out triple by Trevor Jones.

The Mules, 24-6 on the season, was again presented with a gift in the fifth-inning as the Reddies committed a two-out error which led to three runs.

After Kyle Grieshaber reached on the Henderson miscue, Brad Wilson doubled to score Grieshaber. A single by John Orepeza and double by Kevin Gratza plated two more runs to make the score 5-1.

The Reddies got a run back in the bottom of the fifth as Will Powell led off the frame with a walk and scored on a Jeff Beck double to left field to cut the Henderson deficit to 5-2.

UCM added a run in both seventh and eighth innings, while the Reddies struggled offensively having just five hits in the game.

Zac Zdanowicz extended a pair of streaks reaching base safely for the 25th straight game and pushing his hitting streak total to 14 games.

Henderson State returns to Great American Conference action next weekend when the Reddies play host to Harding for a three-game series beginning with a single game on Friday at 3 p.m. at Clyde Berry Field.
