The UAFS Lions and Lady Lions tennis teams swept their matches on Tuesday against NCAA Division I University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff at Burns Park in North Little Rock.
Both the men’s and women’s teams started of strong, fighting for every single point. The Lions beat UAPB 8-1, winning all three of their doubles matches and five of the six singles matches.
The Lady lions faced the similar situations, where they won two out of three doubles matches and swept all six single matches.
“I am proud of the way the team came out to compete today. Everyone stayed focused and made plays when they needed to. I feel our team has great chemistry, and I am blessed God has giving me this opportunity,” said freshman Allie Wilson, who contributed to the Lady Lions’ win by defeating Britney Boler 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6 singles.
