The UAFS Lions and Lady Lions tennis teams returned from Springfield, Mo., after two long days of playing against two very tough teams.
On Friday, their first opponent was Drury University. The Lady Lions fought hard, but they lost 6-3. The Lions lost 7-2.
After a tough first day, both the teams and coaches had to stay strong and positive and be ready to face Washburn University the next morning. The Lady Lions stepped on the court ready to play. They beat Washburn, winning two out of three doubles matches and all six singles matches.
Both teams are practicing hard and getting ready to play two more matches this week. Their first match is scheduled on Tuesday, and their second match is Friday.
Lions and Lady Lions are leaving early in the morning on Tuesday to travel to North Little Rock, Ark., where they will face University Arkansas-Pine Bluff. The matches will begin at 11:30 a.m.
The teams will travel to Seminole, Okla., on Friday to face Seminole State. The matches will begin at 12:30 p.m.
