After halftime, when both teams regrouped, it was almost as if two different teams came out of their respective locker rooms. The Lady Tigers tied the ballgame up at 27, with 19 minutes left in the contest and controlled the tempo of the game for pretty much the remainder of the second half. UAPB would tie the game up at 54 all, with 3:54 left on the clock, but that would be the closet the Lady Lions would get as TSU was able to get the victory 65-61.

Cassidy Wright led the way for the Lady Lions with 12 points on five-of-fourteen shooting and knocking down two three-pointers. Chigozianyi Okwumbua and Lakendra Marsh each chipped in 10 points apiece. The Lady Lions won the rebound battle 43-41.

Teera Williams led all scorers with 22 points and 16 rebounds, while Morgan Simmons put in 17 points on seven-of-eight shooting.
