Golden Lions Tame Bulldogs

Huntsville, AL- Tonight in SWAC basketball action, the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Golden Lions took to the court against the Bulldogs of Alabama A&M University at the T.M. Elmore Gymnasium.

The Golden Lions started off on a roll as Terrell Kennedy and Davon Haynes got to first two baskets for UAPB; and that would start the barrage.

UAPB would push the lead to as much as 17 before the intermission, and would take an 13 point lead into halftime.

In second half, the Golden Lions would extend to lead to 30 points, but the Bulldogs fought back the remainder of the second half to get within 8; but time would expire as the Golden Lions would leave T.M. Elmore Gymnasium with a 76-67 victory.

Lazabian Jackson was the high point man for the Golden Lions scoring 20, shooting the ball like a man possessed, as he would shoot five of eight from beyond the arc. Kennedy would add 17 points and 7 rebounds, as Haynes put up 16 points and 8 rebounds. Marcel Mosley would come off the bench to help out with 10 points.

Jeremy Crutcher would lead the Bulldogs with 21 points, while Demarqulle Tabb chipped in 16 points with 10 rebounds.

The Golden Lions return home Saturday, February 9th to host the Jaguars of Southern University at the H.O. Clemmons Arena. Tipoff is set for 7:30 PM.
